What is your No-Bias Guarantee? Our no-bias guarantee is separate and different than our 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee. We believe the relationship with your doctor should be built on trust from day one, so we instituted a no-bias guarantee, and promise to not receive a commission on any product or service we recommend to our patients. We won't sell you vitamins, or ask you to complete a diagnostic evaluation using a device we own. Instead, we'll connect you to the best available technology and services to help you meet your health goals. Therefore, with our No-Bias guarantee, you can rest assured that we will only recommend a product or service that we believe based on your comprehensive evaluation and goals, will be the best fit for you!

I see you have two programs, what are the differences? Our flagship program is our HealthPrevent 360 program. This is the full program, guided by a board-certified physician prevention expert using innovative AI tools, combined with our comprehensive optional assessments covering clinical, lifestyle, environmental, occupational, lab, diagnostic, 23andMe and tracker data (350-point inspection). With your permission, we ingest clinical information from your physician (labs, medications, physical exams, etc) and you can now upload reports from the latest early disease detection technologies such as the Prenuvo Whole Body MRI Scan, Galleri Blood Test for Cancer Screening, Cleerly Heart scan (CCTA), and Nebula Whole Genome sequencing. This program results in a personalized 5-Year prevention plan inclusive of standard guidelines, and the latest emerging prevention and early disease detection technologies. We received early feedback that it would be helpful to have an entry-level abbreviated program, which can be upgraded to the full 360 program afterwards if desired. That is now our HealthPrevent 180 program, which is fully automated, focused on core preventive service compliance, and leaves out the physician visit. At the end of the 180 program, individuals will have the option to upgrade to the 360 program. Our 180 program has not been released, and currently reserving names on our waitlist.

Can you tell me more about the physician's role in the HealthPrevent 360 program? The HealthPrevent360 program is guided by physician's Board-Certified in Public Health and Prevention by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. According to the board, "Public health and general preventive medicine focuses on promoting health, preventing disease, and managing the health of communities and defined populations. These practitioners combine population-based public health skills with knowledge of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention-oriented clinical practice in a wide variety of settings." Our powerful technology platform leveraging AI including Large Language Models (i.e. ChatGPT) helps your doctor, we call the workflow "AI-Assisted", but the technology does not replace the doctor. The technology platform is also designed to maximize privacy and security, ensuring identifiable data never leaves the US, and is never shared without your permission.

Why is an environmental evaluation part of this program?Harmful environmental exposures can occur through the air we breath, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the places where we live, work and play! Examples include air contaminants, toxic waste, radiation, disease-causing microorganisms and plants, pesticides, heavy metals, chemicals in consumer products, and extreme temperature and weather events. For example, there is significant scientific evidence that shows particle pollution, or particulate matter (PM) in haze, smoke or dust, can cause adverse cardiovascular effects and premature death, and is likely to cause respiratory effects. Radon gas naturally released from rocks, soil, and water is the leading environmental cause of cancer, and the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. Radon can get in your home through cracks and holes in your home's foundation, and build up in the air. Below is an environmental analysis from the 5-Year prevention action plan of a patient. In addition to detailed clinical and environmental environmental evaluations, our program is unique because we also include a detailed occupational evaluation.

Do you take the place of my primary care provider? No, we do not take the place of your primary care provider. Your primary care provider is an important part of your care team, can physically touch and evaluate you in person which we cannot, and will be available to manage any acute or chronic issues, including but not limited to prescribing medications (our doctors can prescribe medications, but don't as part of this program). Your primary care provider will generally follow the standard recommended guidelines for prevention and screening, that will also be included in our recommendations. In a medical emergency, you should still always contact 911, go to an emergency room, or rely on your local physician for non-emergent issues. All that said, our program goes much further than the standard clinical evaluation offered by most primary care providers, because we are not limited by insurance or other compliance requirements that eat into the amount of time your primary care provider has with you. Furthermore, our board certified physicians are prevention experts, and have dedicated their careers with significant amount of additional training after learning to manage disease, to learn how to prevent disease. Last but not least, our program leverages advanced technology and tools to engage our patients outside of the clinic, with a focus on lifestyle behaviors that have the greatest impact on your health, and ability to prevent disease.

Is this program covered by my health insurance? No, this program is not covered by insurance. Unfortunately, health insurance does a much better job of covering health expenses once you have a disease, than in preventing it. Also, dealing with health insurance adds significant paperwork burden to our process and physicians, eating into your physician's time which is better spent engaging with you. Our programs are Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) eligible, and for the most part (always check with your health insurance provider ahead of time), lab work, and most recommended Level 1 preventive screening tests we recommend are typically covered by your health insurance, oftentimes without a cost sharing to you (no co-pay). Every health insurance company's policies and procedures are different, so we highly recommend you always check in advance to avoid any unexpected surprise bills from your health insurance company.

What are my costs after the program? The exact cost for consultations and testing based on the recommendations produced by our Healthier Clinic Prevention Program and your personalized 5-year prevention action plan can vary widely. They depend on several factors such as your insurance coverage, the specifics of your prevention plan, and the healthcare providers you choose to use. Many of the tests we recommend are considered "Level 1 screening tests", which are often covered by most health insurance plans without cost sharing (no co-pay). However, this varies by insurance company and plan, and it is always recommended to check with your insurance provider for exact coverage details. If your insurance plan includes a deductible, you would need to pay out-of-pocket until your deductible is met. After that, your insurance plan will start to pay a percentage of the costs. The specific out-of-pocket costs again would depend on the specifics of your insurance plan, the type of test, and where it is performed. In addition, the prevention program might recommend "Level 2" or advanced testing. These are new and emerging tests that may not be covered by health insurance. The costs for these tests can vary significantly based on the type of test and the provider. We strive to offer cost-effective solutions and will always discuss potential costs and alternatives with you. Please remember our No-Bias guarantee, and we don't receive any type of referral fee or commission for any recommendation we make, including Level 1 and 2 testing. Lastly, some of the prevention measures could involve lifestyle changes or products that are typically not covered by health insurance. The costs for these would vary widely based on the specific recommendation. In all situations, our aim is to provide the best value for our patients by recommending prevention measures that are based on sound scientific evidence and are cost-effective. Also, given our non-bias guarantee, we never receive a commission or referral fee of any sort for services recommended. This way you can rest assured that the only possible reason we recommend a service, is because given our expertise and understanding of the science and your comprehensive evaluation, which includes budget, we believe it is the best option for you. Please note that all services and programs offered by Healthier Clinic are typically eligible for HSA, HRA, FSA, and may qualify as medical expenses for tax purposes. Given these factors, it's challenging to provide a specific cost estimate without knowing your individual circumstances and the details of your prevention plan. However, we firmly believe that an investment in prevention today could lead to significant savings in future healthcare costs, not to mention the benefits of a healthier, longer life.

Can I use my HRA/HSA funds? The answer is Yes, but let me explain further for those not as familiar with HRA and HSA accounts. Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) are two types of accounts that provide tax advantages for healthcare expenses. 1. Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA): HRAs are employer-funded plans that reimburse employees for out-of-pocket medical expenses and individual health insurance premiums. The employer sets up the HRA and contributes funds to it that employees can use for eligible healthcare expenses. The great thing about HRAs is that the reimbursement you get for your healthcare costs is usually tax-free. However, you can't contribute to an HRA yourself; only your employer can. 2. Health Savings Account (HSA): HSAs are like personal savings accounts, but the money in them is used to pay for health care expenses. You — not your employer or the insurance company — own and control the money in your HSA. The money you deposit into the account is not taxed. To be eligible to open an HSA, you must have a special type of health insurance called a high-deductible plan. Now, as for using HRA or HSA for covering the expenses of the Healthier Clinic program and any subsequent costs: For HRA, as these are employer-funded, the usability on the expenses of our program would depend on the specific agreement between the employer and the provider managing the HRA. The rules can vary, but typically, if our program is considered a qualified medical expense (which it is), it should be eligible for reimbursement. For HSA, you can typically use the funds on any qualified medical expense, which again includes our Healthier Clinic program. The same would apply for subsequent costs for consultations and testing not covered by insurance, assuming these are also qualified medical expenses. In either case, you should check the specific terms of your HRA or HSA and consult with a tax advisor or your benefits administrator to confirm what expenses are covered.

Can I deduct the costs of this program from my taxes?Your accountant would have the last say, but our services are considered a qualified medical expense, and the IRS does allow individuals to annually deduct expenses beyond 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. Therefore, you could include the cost of this program as a qualified medical expense, combined with all your other qualified medical expenses for the year, and deduct the total amount ABOVE 7.5% of your adjusted gross income from your federal income taxes. Similar programs exist for state taxes, but vary state-by-state.
